About Monish Merchant, MD
Monish Merchant, MD, is a board-certified interventional radiologist with advanced training in the minimally invasive treatment of uterine fibroids and other women’s health conditions. At Capital Women’s Care, Dr. Merchant focuses on image-guided therapies designed to relieve symptoms, preserve the uterus, and offer patients effective alternatives to surgery. Dr. Merchant completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami in Miami, Florida, where he received specialized training in complex vascular and women’s health procedures. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Molecular & Cellular Biology and Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, providing a strong foundation in both medical science and analytical problem-solving. Dr. Merchant is committed to helping women better understand their diagnosis and treatment options, particularly when managing conditions such as uterine fibroids.
