About Marvin P. Davis, MD
Dr. Davis received his Bachelor of Science Degree from George Washington University and Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College. After completing his residency training at Franklin Square Hospital Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital, he served as Clinical Attending for Washington University and St. Louis University OBGYN Residency’s programs. He relocated to Howard County MD in 1988, where he has been in practice since. Dr. Davis is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as a member of the Maryland Medical Chirurgical Society and the North American Menopause Society.
In 2004, the practice he co-founded with Dr. Christine Richards merged with Capital Women’s Care, where he began serving on the Board of Directors. Dr. Davis currently serves as the Board’s Vice Chairman and sits on its Executive Committee.
Other accomplishments include appointment to the Board of Trustees of Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center for nine years as well as to the Board of Directors of the Hospital’s Foundation. In addition, he has served on various hospital committees including chairing the hospital’s Maternal Child Health Committee which was responsible for coordinating the buildout of the hospital’s state of the art Labor and Delivery and developing the Maternal Fetal Medicine program. Dr. Davis also has had the privilege of being appointed and serving on The Congressional Physicians Advisory Council. After delivering well over 5,000 babies including several second generations, he has limited his practice to Gynecology.
His special interests include preventive and integrative women’s health, contraception, menopause, urinary incontinence and non-surgical aesthetic services He is also co-medical director of the practice’s medical spa and wellness center. Dr. Davis was the first physician in Howard County to offer Ultherapy®, the only FDA-cleared procedure to noninvasively lift and tone the face, neck, chin, and chest areas.
Dr. Davis resides in Howard County, is married and the proud father of three wonderful children and 3 grandchildren.
