About Kessie Herring, CNM

Born and raised in Virginia, Kessie’s passion for women’s health has followed her all her life. She obtained her nursing degree from George Mason University, and fell in love with labor and delivery during her clinicals. After graduation, she worked for 6 years as a labor and delivery nurse at Inova Fairfax, where she had the honor of witnessing over 1,000 births. She gained valuable experience with both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies. Her desire to empower women, foster positive birth memories, and provide quality care led her to pursue her nurse-midwifery degree at Frontier Nursing University. She completed her clinical hours exclusively with our practice, and was beyond excited to join our team upon her graduation.

Kessie hopes that each and every one of her patients feels safe, heard, and supported. She loves caring for people throughout their lifespan, whether it’s providing education to adolescents about their bodies, offering labor support, or guiding patients through menopause.

In her free time, Kessie enjoys spending time with her partner and their dog, exploring new restaurants, reading, and listening to music.
