About Katherine Kula, MD

Dr. Katherine Kula joins the Capital Women’s Care team with experience practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2006.  Her focus is on hospital-based care of pregnancy, including complicated high-risk pregnancies, labor, delivery, and C/Section.  She is also pleased to see patients in the Frederick location for prenatal care and routine gynecology.  Dr. Kula takes pride in listening and addressing the needs of individual patients.  She feels privileged to care for women throughout their lives, especially during the special time that is pregnancy and childbirth.

Dr. Kula is originally from Mount Airy, Maryland.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University in 1998, and went on to earn her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2002.  She then completed four years of residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wellspan/York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania in 2006.  She is married and has two children.  She enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and reading.
