About Judith A. Gurdian, MD
Judith A Gurdian MD started her practice in Rockville, MD in 1987. She joined Capital Women’s Care as Division 29 in 2002 building the practice from one woman to 5 female providers. Dr. Gurdian earned her undergraduate degree in Applied Linguistics and Spanish at Georgetown University and then completed her MD there in 1979. Dr. Gurdian also did her residency at Georgetown University Medical School. She then served in the US Air Force earning the rank of Major before retiring. In 1987 she returned to Rockville to open her practice. Dr Gurdian has held faculty positions at Georgetown, USUHS and is now the OB/GYN resident coordinator for Howard Medical School She has held multiple leadership positions at Shady Grove Medical Center including serving as Medical Staff President during the pandemic. She serves on the Board of Shady Grove Medical Center and on the board of Unified Women’s Health Care. She has particular interest in the areas of high risk OB and complex medical problems. She is also dedicated to quality care in the hospital and the community. Extracurricular interests include music (pianist), tutoring, theater and travel.
