Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Montgomery County, she received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology with a Minor in Psychology from the The George Washington University in 2006. During college she pursued her interest in working with neurodivergent and developmentally different children as a behavioral therapist, and now enjoys providing gynecologic care to this population and into adulthood. Following college, she pursued additional course work at American University then worked full time as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Washington Hospital Center. She then moved to Baltimore City where she was emersed in clinical training while earning her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2013. Combining a love for surgical procedures as well as the ability to connect and communicate with patients, she then completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ) while living in Hoboken, NJ.
In 2017 she returned home to Maryland where she began working in private practice in Frederick and Montgomery County. Out of academic medicine for the first time, she began to see the variety of ways people can practice the same specialty. She strives to put each patient at ease in order to obtain their story, provides thorough evaluation and counseling, believes patients deserve communication that is honest and direct, and that humor is an invaluable tool in medicine and in life. She looks forward to joining the dedicated team at Capital Women’s Care while she continues to experience all the boating, biking, breweries, food, music and arts that the DMV has to offer!
