About Dana C. Baras, MD
Dana Baras, MD, MPH, FACOG, is a graduate of James Madison University (BBA), Emory University (MPH), and the University of Virginia (MD). During her master’s degree work, she took a particular interest in women’s health, working at the CDC in the Division of STD Prevention and studying the effects of antibiotics in pregnancy. Dr. Baras completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Baras is passionate about providing her patients with evidence-based, modern healthcare in a safe and welcoming environment. Her special interests include low and high-risk obstetrics, adolescent care, family planning and contraception, and menopause. She is a member of The Menopause Society.
Dr. Baras lives in Howard County and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys travel, pickleball, and spending time watching her kids on the sports fields!
