About Bandhana K. Bajaj, MD

Dr. Bandhana (Bani) Bajaj is a Board-Certified gynecologist and Certified Menopause Practitioner with 20 years of experience in women’s healthcare. She serves as the Managing Partner at Capital Women’s Care’s Washington, DC office and sits on Capital Women’s Care Clinical Governance Board.

Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Dr. Bajaj earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and History from Washington University in St. Louis before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The George Washington University Hospital and joined the practice that would become Capital Women’s Care in 2005.

After nearly two decades of caring for patients in both obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bajaj transitioned in 2022 to a gynecology-only practice, with a special focus on perimenopause and menopause care. She is passionate about closing the knowledge gap in hormone replacement therapy and ensuring that every patient’s voice is heard, concerns validated, and care individualized.

A dedicated advocate for women’s health, Dr. Bajaj champions equitable access to quality care and works to preserve and strengthen women’s healthcare services. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Menopause Society, and a longtime Washingtonian Top Doctor.

Outside the office, she enjoys Peloton workouts, weight training, walks in nature whilst listening to leadership podcasts, and keeping up with the busy schedules of her three preteen/teenage children in the DC area
