About Alicia St. Thomas, MD
Alicia St. Thomas, MD joined the team at CWC Division 38 in 2024. Dr. St. Thomas completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2008. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise Physiology from the University of Maryland College Park in 2012 and taught undergraduate courses in exercise physiology, weight training, and physical activity and cardiovascular health. She completed medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2000 and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Inova Fairfax in 2024. During her residency, Dr. St. Thomas served as the Wellness Chief, developed wellness programs for the residency and Inova Women’s Hospital and presented webinars on exercise in pregnancy. She has been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 15 years and is a Cancer Exercise Specialist with the Cancer Exercise Training Institute, AFPA Certified Health and Wellness Coach, AFPA Certified Pregnancy Health Coach, and AFPA Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Specialist.
Dr. St. Thomas has special interests in prenatal and postpartum fitness and nutrition, contraception, routine and high-risk pregnancies, and gynecologic surgery. She sees patients for routine OB/Gyn care in Oakton, Springfield and Chantilly. When not at work, Dr. St. Thomas enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and lab, Charlie, cooking, traveling, and entertaining at her home in Northern VA. She also enjoys weight training and competes in fitness competitions
