Melissa Dhas, MSN, AGNP-C, WHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Melissa is originally from Dover, Delaware but moved to Northern Virginia where she attended George Mason University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While practicing as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, she continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she successfully completed a Master’s Degree in Nursing specializing in both Geriatric and Women’s Health.
Prior to joining Capital Women’s Care, Melissa worked for almost 3 years as a WHNP. She enjoys working with women of all ages, from adolescence to child-bearing age and into menopause. Her current experience allows her to manage all appointment types, including well-women exams, contraception consultations, abnormal bleeding, family planning, pregnancy, gynecological problems, and menopause. Her caring nature, attention to detail, clear communication skills, and extensive clinical experience make Melissa an exceptional Nurse Practitioner.
Melissa lives in Centreville, Virginia with her husband, their daughter Mia and dog Gunner. She enjoys working out, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends and family.
