About Allison Heiden, MD

Dr. Heiden is a Midwest native who received her undergraduate degree in pre-professional sciences and psychology from the University of Notre Dame. She then returned to her home state of Michigan, where she received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Heiden completed her fouryear obstetrics and gynecology residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital. During her residency years, Dr. Heiden served as administrative chief resident and published research regarding cervical cerclage and uterine anomalies. Upon completing residency, Dr. Heiden and her husband made Northern Virginia their permanent home, where they currently reside with their growing family and dog, Kiwi. Dr. Heiden has special interests in contraception, routine and high-risk pregnancies, well-woman care, abnormal uterine bleeding, and GYN surgery.
