Bio:
Dr. Garfield grew up in the suburbs of DC, in Montgomery County, Maryland. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Smith College in Massachusetts. She then worked at a small women's health clinic in College Park before heading to University of Michigan Medical School to earn her MD. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware, where she received awards for teaching, patient care, and excellence in the field of family planning.
She has a broad range of clinical interests, including family planning, high risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive gyn surgery. She strives to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to women in all stages of their lives, and to establish lasting partnerships with her patients to help them achieve their health goals.
In her spare time, Dr. Garfield enjoys traveling, hiking, baking, and trying new restaurants. She lives in DC with her husband.
