Dr Darryn Band has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 18 years at his current locations in Silver Spring and Rockville, Maryland. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1989. He completed his residency training from the Medical college of Virginia in 1993. He is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has a special interest in teaching and is an Associate Clinical Professor at George Washington University Hospital. His interests include High Risk Obstetrics, Infertility, and Minimally Invasive Surgery including Operative Hysteroscopy, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Essure Procedures. He currently has privileges at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md and performs outpatient surgery at Maryland Specialty Center in Rockville, Md. He is married for 19 years to his wife, Wendy and has three children, Jake, Austin and Elizabeth.
